Pan American Broadcasting,
Contributing to the prevention of Malaria in Africa
In February 2008, Pan American Broadcasting was very thankful to
contribute to the efforts of the “Africa Fighting Malaria”
Project. This is a non-profit health advocacy group based in
South Africa and the United States; its mission is to raise the
profile of Malaria Prevention, providing education and support
to the people of Africa through media and public education. The
Mission is providing free mosquito nets to as many people
possible within Africa, especially regions affected by polluted
flood waters harboring the infected mosquito’s, such at the
“Abaralela region” of North East Uganda which was devastated by
floods in recent months . These regions are educated about
Malaria and how to cover their beds while they sleep, providing
protection and thereby contributing to a decrease of illness and
death that plaques Africa.
We are grateful to have contributed to this great cause. As one
realizes the overall impact of this project, it is truly amazing
how such a simple act of help will contribute to saving millions
of lives over time…all we can say is “Thank you Jesus” for
bringing this opportunity to our attention and to our hearts.
We ask that you keep Africa in your prayers. It remains a region
of turmoil, struggle and need and yet a dynamic frontier for
Missions work and the opportunity to share the gift of
Salvation.
